Senior Technician Operations - Cape Town Full job description ELIGIBILITY Suitably Qualified Candidates CLOSING DATE 26.03.2024 REFERENCE NUMBER CS 21/24 Ext SALARY Basic: R478 299.00 p a DEPARTMENT Information Systems and Technology DIRECTORATE CORPORATE SERVICES Senior Technician Operations Requirements A relevant National Diploma or Higher A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience in Telecommunications Networks Networking and knowledge of Monitoring/Event/Fault/ Management applications for Telecommunications Networks Experience in troubleshooting routing and switching issues and in leading a vendor or in-house Telecommunication teams would be an advantage A networking certification an added advantage Key Performance Areas Undertakes and lead technical activities within the Operations routing and switching networks Provide quality supervision and control of maintenance and repairs of the Cityxe2x80x99s of all Broadband Networks, switching and routing Ensure as-built information is submitted accordingly for update; ensure compliance with SOPs, policies and guidelines, provide feedback to management Design interpreting reviews and interpret drawings/plans specifying changes in records or as-built information Coordinate the day-to-day activities routing and switching networks elements maintenance as well as contractors involved in the supply and update of information in order to fulfil delivery commitments of the section Provide support to project management and operations management as required to ensure commitments are met by City vendors Maintain effective communication with stake holders How to Apply External candidates: APPLY ON LINE VIA www.capetown.gov.za/careers Internal staff: APPLY ON LINE VIA SAP PORTAL Certified copies of qualifications must be available on request.
