PURPOSE OF ROLE

To provide inputs and support ensuring professional and compliant designs are produced on time and to specifications within allocated hours, on schedule within budget.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Ensuring that the documented strategies and policies pertaining to the C&I section are clearly understood and implemented.
• Tenders and Proposals-Assist with the development of procurement specifications, material, equipment, and services for pricing of the offers.
• Providing technical inputs throughout tender/ proposal preparation process in conjunction with the design and proposals team.
• Design and Design Reviews-Generating designs and / or provide design inputs for designs.
• Assist with the generation of material specifications for projects.
• Perform design changes during the client review stages and during the installation phases, as required.
• Ensure proper configuration control because of the modifications.
• Interfacing with the various groups involved in the project lifecycle xe2x80x93 Project Engineering, Procurement, Cost Control, SHEQ.
• Participating in Receipt Inspection activities for C&I equipment, site testing etc when required.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• National Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience

KNOWLEDGE & BEHAVIOUR

• Knowledge of Instrumentation standards.
• Knowledge of the OHS Act and it Regulations and how it applies.
• Knowledge of the principles of ISO quality systems.
