RPO Recruitment's client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join their team in Cape Town. The Senior Tax Analyst will play a key role in providing tax expertise and managing tax compliance for our clients. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex tax laws, regulations, and court cases to ensure compliance. They will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify tax planning opportunities, assess tax implications of business decisions, and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities. This will include preparing and reviewing tax returns, conduct tax research, and support tax audits.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex tax laws, regulations, and court cases
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify tax planning opportunities
• Assess tax implications of business decisions and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities
• Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
• Conduct tax research to stay updated on tax laws and changes affecting the industry
• Support tax audits and assist in responding to queries from tax authorities
• Assist in the development and implementation of tax policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CA (SA)
• Minimum [5] years of experience in tax compliance or tax consulting
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles
• Proficiency in tax software and MS Office Suite
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
