Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Talent Manager to lead our national talent function across multiple regions, including Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, and Durban. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in shaping and executing the organisations talent strategy, while providing direction and support to a high-performing team of Talent Managers, Consultants, and Administrators. With oversight of a workforce of over 2,000 employees, this role is pivotal in driving impactful talent solutions and aligning them with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a national team of 4+ direct reports (Talent Managers, Consultants, and Administrators).
  • Oversee end-to-end talent operations and delivery across a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure talent strategies support broader business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management teams in Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, and Durban.
  • Drive continuous improvement across talent acquisition, development, succession planning, and performance management processes.
  • Ensure HR Business Partner practices are embedded and aligned to strategic workforce planning.
  • Monitor and evaluate talent metrics to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and a high-performance culture.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field (Honours or Masters advantageous).
  • Minimum of 810 years experience in HR, with at least 35 years in a senior talent leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing a large team and supporting a complex, multi-site organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence at executive level.
  • In-depth understanding of HR Business Partner functions and talent management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
