Job Description

  • Senior Systems Analyst will implement, maintain, and support information systems to meet the business needs of the Finance Business Unit and scale as the Finance Business Unit grows.
  • The senior systems analyst will develop and drive data strategies for cohesive, integrated and real time data across all information platforms in the organization required for the optimal and efficient operations of the finance business unit.
  • The Senior Systems Analyst will analyse and create tests and develop specifications and requirements for developers and programmers to follow within the Finance environment
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science,
  • Information technology, or Information Systems or
  • Equivalent Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science
Primary Duties
  • Develop and drive data strategies for cohesive, integrated and real time data across all information platforms in the organization required for the optimal and efficient operations of the Finance Business Unit (BU).
  • Reviewing systems performance and identifying system issues within the Finance BU
  • Managing system upgrades in partnership with the IT department
  • Designing and implementing internal system controls (preventative and detective) to provide quality assurance over financial data within the Finance BU
  • Reviewing and maintaining all financial systems policies and procedures
  • Working with business intelligence software within the Finance BU
  • Work extensively with ERP SAP GUI (FI, CO, SAP BW Interface, including Budgeting Planning and Consolidation and in partnership with IT.
  • Perform & manage maintenance in SAP ECC, SAP BW and BPC systems within the Finance BU
  • Developing financial reporting templates in line with accounting standards and BPC, SAP trial balance
  • Updating master data for GL's and all Cost Objects (PC, CC, WBS, Internal Orders, Networks) hierarchies on BPC and SAP ECC and updates into the Trial Balance (TB) within the Finance BU
  • Managing Opening and Closing systems, versions on BPC and SAP within the Finance BU
  • Responsible for ongoing forecasting, management, and analysis of the Operational Financial metrics on the Balance sheet and P& L
  • Develop partnerships and collaborate with key support, architecture, engineering, and security teams.
  • Manage the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, and patch installs that resolves monitoring related software problems in partnership with IT.
Knowledge
  • Advanced SAP, CaseWare, Oracle Version 11g, Quantum, Pastel Partner, Cumulus, MIP, Baud.Net
  • BPC (SAP BW) and SAP (FI, CO, PA, HR, MM, AS etc.)
  • Accredited with SAP, BPC and Other Systems
  • Project management experience
  • Business intelligence
  • Experience SAP ERP system
  • Work extensively with SAP ECC, Oracle, BPC and other systems.
  • Involved in systems development for future SAP/BPC enhancements.
  • Ad hoc reporting and special projects, such as technical accounting research, manage accounting templates in line with changes in IFRS standards.
  • Execute upgrade process for ERP system general ledger.
