MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
This role supports operational excellence to ensure divisional goals are achieved.
The role entails sales and operational planning (S&OP) to ensure the company meets demand effectively while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
Superior customer service is also a key objective of this role.
Strong collaborative capability with other functional teams such as sales, finance and global supply chain is needed, to deliver on customer and business expectations.
SCOPE:
Independence (Finance)
Support sales team to achieve sales targets and budgets by having the right stock at an appropriate inventory level at the right time.
Manage all costings inbound and outbound.
Identify opportunity to reduce any wastage.
Ensure inventory management and tracking as per division guidelines (safety stock levels, stock ageing and write off risk).
System administration and management.
Support lot traceability.
Customer Centricity
Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients to ensure stability and continuity.
Proactively identify, evaluate and mitigate risks - including operational disruptions - that may adversly affect business performance.
Ensure excellent customer service levels are maintained at all times, and in keeping with client scorecard expectations.
Process
Drive strategic collaboration with production sites to formalize end-to-end processes, from production to final delivery, for both domestic (South Africa) and export customers. Champion the adoption and integration of system based solutions to improve internal operations.
Lead cost-optimization initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, which includes :
o Assessment and implementation of warehousing solutions
o Service provider management and negotiation
Manage relationships with internal and external customers through the implementation of standardized processes to increase efficiency. This would include :
o Finance - overseeing pricing, credit management and debit processes
o Master Data - ensuring continual updates and data accuracy
o Commercial - supporting functions such as APO (advanced planning and optimization)
Design and maintain SOP's to ensure adherence and compliance.
Manage inbound and outbound logistics processes - monitor demand and replenishment.
Ensure timeous management of purchase order generation.
Utilisation of necessary tools for business tracking and profitability management.
Manage quarterly and year end stock takes.
Manage audit requirements while aligning with key stakeholders
Management of internal and customer complaints via Mane system (Qualis)
People
Align yourself to the performance driven culture through the implementation of performance management and talent management.
Effective management of supply chain team- attendance, timekeeping, roles and responsibilities.
Participate in development planning process.
