Role Purpose


To perform and improve daily and monthly functions that enables the GIS Unitization and Financial reporting functions.



Requirements



Relevant financial/investment qualification preferably B-Commerce or equivalent
10 to 15 years' experience in an Investment Administration (asset management and/or multi-management and / or LISP) environment)




Duties & Responsibilities



Providing support to functional areas in GIS being Technical IFRS reporting, Technical Operations and Technical Solutions
To continually review and update operational processes and documentation to reduce risk and improve efficiency
Continually strive for automation where possible and drive / initiate development interventions as is necessary
Understand queries and the impact an issue has on function/process, manage expectations and consider changes to avoid reoccurrence (root cause analysis)
Understand process and operational requirements e.g. how improved operational process can support the Momentum Group financial reporting processes
Collaborate in all efficiency drives in processes, policies and systems, ensuring effective implementation of the life fund unitization processes
Assist with various strategic initiatives within Group Finance Reporting
Day-to-day process co-ordination and execution which involves Client cash flow instruction, multi-portfolio manager instructions and Life business segment transactions
Execute all Daily Integrity and Validation checks to ensure Interlink unitization system experiences no day end failures
Review and resolve all daily transaction errors to ensure appropriate Client investment and disinvestment processing
Review and appropriately execute policyholder accrual payments as part of large withdrawals - including CGT, Management Fees and Income Tax
Monitor and resolve investment operations cash breaks
Monitor behaviour of Client's administrators to identify and report suspicious behaviour to Risk department
Ensure all daily functions pertaining to Client and Fund manager banking are performed in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure all daily functions pertaining to Interlink unitization functions are performed with accuracy and in a timely manner
