Europcar has an opportunity for a Senior Marketing Specialist who is highly organized and driven to support the Marketing Manager with all the creative, branding and sponsorship activities within the marketing department. The role will be based in Bruma, Johannesburg.
Position Overview
The purpose of the role is to plan, manage and monitor the implementation of all car rental marketing campaigns related activities and processes to achieve revenue and profit targets, branch goals, customer satisfaction and retention objectives and operational excellence through compliance, customer service delivery and effective leadership.
Specific Role Responsibilities
Job Outputs:
Brand Management:
Assist with implementation and co-ordination of the marketing strategy in all respects.
Coordination, management and implementation of the brands marketing campaigns, partner campaigns and adhoc marketing roll out plans.
Campaign planning and management
Control, coordinate and manage the brands and CI elements.
Manage the application of the CI in various platforms / media (presentations, design platforms).
Evaluation of all sponsorship requests, coordination and management of sponsorships, functions and events, including rights management, branding, vehicle branding, contracts. (After hours assistance may be required from time to time).
Coordination and management of the brands social media and website presence. This includes social media content plan creation and management of the online social media management tools.
Internal promotion of the brands (internal marketing) and internal communication of marketing activities.
Creation of briefs to agency and timeous follow up with agency on briefs and timelines.
General assistance in the marketing & sales environment from admin to idea creation and implementation, facilitating sales requirements and the provision of sales fulfillment material.
Management and implementation of bulk and direct mail campaigns and other direct marketing initiatives.
Competitor analysis to be conducted on an ongoing basis and feedback provided to the Marketing Manager.
Signage - Management of the brand CI and signage requirements around the country and in accordance with CI guidelines, including branch TVxe2x80x99s and video.
Administration:
Overseeing the existing administrative functions within the department:
Marketing items stock management
Distribution of stock and marketing materials, including:
Mints
Promotional Materials
Branding (Physically erect and remove branding, where necessary).
Administration of marketing budget.
Control of quotes, purchase orders, invoices, cheque requisitions, petty cash. Follow-up on payment where required. Training on SAGE X3 to be provided.
Management of the brands sponsorship documentation and comp accounts
Manage overall email and telephonic requests for marketing and delegate to the correct people. Respond to all requests within 48 hours.
Management and maintenance of all ISO procedures including the ISO process file.
Management of marketing databases.
Assess incoming (external) marketing opportunities and advise manager of findings / recommendations and respond to requests timeously.
Research new marketing trends and opportunities to introduce new marketing tools / initiatives.
Build relationships with key suppliers, internal customers and partners.
General office administration.
Coordination of ad hoc requests.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of marketing, advertising or relevant industry experience.
Experience in project planning and management.
Experience in marketing disciplines (PR, sponsorship, ATL, BTL, TTL, online, social media).
Strong background in terms of web/online/search marketing as well as the management of brand within the context of social media.
Minimum Qualification:
A recognized tertiary Marketing qualification NQF6+.
Minimum Requirements:
Unendorsed valid South African driverxe2x80x99s license and own vehicle.
Computer literate, MS Office xe2x80x93 expert level needed on PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Knowledge of marketing industry as a whole.
Knowledge of printing, file types, colours, paper, materials (vinyl/Perspex), dies fabrications, lighting and distribution
