Job Summary This fine dining EAT OUT Nominated restaurant in Stellenbosch offers trend setting cuisine matched with award winning local wines. Offering a choice of either 4 or 7 course tasting menus paired with wines, the food style has a distinct overseas flair with intricate plating components, beautifully styled and eclectic flavours of Europe infused with contemporary South African cuisine. Open Tuesday to Saturday offering lunch and dinner only with a dedicated and talented team of 9 chefs. ProStaffSelect are in search of a highly passionate SNR SOUS CHEF who shows true initiative and determination in pursuing his/her dream in the culinary arts. Our multi award winning head chef offers each brigade member the opportunity of rotating through the brigade to gain experience in ALL CULINARY DISCIPLINES. The production methods and culinary techniques used are very advanced and require a chef's full attention and focus with an employment commitment of at least 2 years. REQUIREMENTS: Recognized 1 or 2 years FULL-TIME Cheffing Qualification. Minimum 4-year experience within a luxury 5* hotel or strict fine dining team. Ability to engineer and create weekly menu items as needed. Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills to HOST guests at the open island counter when cooking. Must be PASSIONATE about food, know your basics, display a positive attitude and truly excited about your cheffing career and goals.
