Senior Software Engineer - Rust Focused

What You'll Do
Design, implement, and maintain core backend services using Rust
Work closely with engineers, architects, and product teams to build robust, production-grade systems
Contribute to architectural decisions that shape scalable and maintainable systems
Optimise performance-critical code paths and ensure reliability in high-load environments
Review code, mentor junior developers, and foster best practices in Rust development
Requirements
4+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years of production experience in Rust
Deep understanding of Rust's ownership model, concurrency primitives, and ecosystem (async, Tokio, etc.)
Strong foundation in systems programming or backend development
Experience building scalable microservices or distributed systems
Solid grasp of testing, performance profiling, and writing maintainable code
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first environment
Contributions to open-source Rust projects or crates
Familiarity with other modern systems languages (Go, C++, Zig)
Experience with WebAssembly, blockchain tech, or low-latency systems
