POSITION: Senior Software Developer
TYPE: Permanent, Full Time
LOCATION: Fully Remote (Head Office: Centurion)
EXPERIENCE: 10+ Years
REMUNERATION: Market-related (Approximately R700 000 - R900 000 per annum)

ROLE OVERVIEW This role focuses on the development and enhancement of a complex financial services product. The successful candidate will work within a remote, high-performance engineering team, contribute to sophisticated application design, and build robust frameworks across a large-scale financial administration environment. A strong background in the financial investment and insurance domain is essential. Candidates must demonstrate applied understanding of business processes, cash flows, accounting, tax, reporting, and the administration lifecycle of investment products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop clean, efficient, maintainable, and high-performance code, supported by comprehensive testing.
- Build and support application logic and web-based user interfaces.
- Align work to business objectives, compliance requirements, and regulatory needs.
- Support testing, deployment, and iterative improvement of new features and product enhancements.
- Collaborate through pair programming where beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- 10+ years' relevant professional software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Object-Oriented Design and Object Databases.
- Practical experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Deep domain expertise in financial investment and insurance systems.
