Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Agent (Construction Manager) to oversee and manage labour-intensive civil construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role requires proven leadership and technical expertise to manage site teams, resources, and stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of labour-intensive construction projects.
• Lead, mentor, and support junior site managers, supervisors, and site staff.
• Plan, monitor, and control project activities to ensure time, budget, and quality objectives are achieved.
• Manage on-site operations, including safety, quality assurance, and resource allocation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation and reports.
• Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
• Identify, monitor, and manage project risks and site challenges proactively.

• NQF Level 5 or 7 qualification in Labour-Intensive Construction Management or equivalent QCTO qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role (site management or senior supervisory).
• Proven track record in successfully delivering labour-intensive construction projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
• Proficiency in construction methodologies, materials, and safety regulations.
• Sound knowledge of South African National Standards (SANS 1200) and relevant building codes.
• Solid problem-solving, planning, and organisational abilities.
