Job Description

This is a 5 - month, renewable contract with our client.
The Senior Service Monitoring Analyst will lead our enterprise service monitoring strategy and operations. This role is responsible for proactively monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the performance and availability of critical FinTech Services. This role ensures early detection of service degradation, supports incident response, and contributes to continuous improvement of service reliability across FinTech platforms. The ideal candidate must have deep experience with monitoring tools, understand service-level dependencies, and can proactively detect issues before they impact end-users or business operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end monitoring solutions (infrastructure, application,and service-level) across hybrid environments (on-prem, cloud).
Analyze service performance metrics and detect anomalies or potential disruptions.
Ensure end-to-end visibility across infrastructure, applications, and customer-facing services.
Lead incident detection efforts by interpreting monitoring alerts, logs, and metrics to identify issues, trends, and potential service degradation.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and DevOps teams to define monitoring
requirements and KPIs aligned to SLAs and business outcomes.
Manage and enhance monitoring platforms (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, AppDynamics,Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).
Automate alerting, escalation workflows, and dashboard/report creation for real-time visibility into system performance.
Perform root cause analysis and participate in post-incident reviews to continuously improve monitoring coverage and reliability.
Mentor and support junior analysts and ensure knowledge sharing across teams.
Drive best practices in observability and proactive monitoring across IT and business systems.
Evaluate new monitoring technologies and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
5+ years of experience in IT service monitoring, infrastructure operations, or related technical support roles. Fintech or Banking experience.
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise-grade monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, etc.).
Experience with log analysis, telemetry, metrics, and alert configuration.
Familiarity with ITIL framework, particularly incident and problem management processes.
Ability to correlate complex data sets and identify root causes in high-pressure situations.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical
teams.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant certifications for specific monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace Certified Professional,
Splunk Certified Power User).
ITIL, SRE, or cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, ITIL Foundation, Google
SRE) are advantageous
