As a Senior Scientist in NGS, you are entrusted with a vital mission: to deliver diagnostic excellence through precise specimen testing in our Genetics Laboratory. Role Requirements
To thrive in this role, you are required to hold:

• a BSc Honours Degree and be registered with the HPCSA as a Medical Scientist in Genetics, Human Genetics ,Molecular Genetics or Molecular Biology.

These qualifications ensure you are equipped to uphold the standards of scientific integrity and innovation that define Ampath's reputation. You bring 3-5 years of experience working in a NGS laboratory environment, where you have honed your technical capabilities and developed a deep understanding of diagnostic workflows. Your experience enables you to contribute meaningfully from day one, while also mentoring others and fostering a culture of shared learning and accountability.
Skills Requirements
Success in this role calls for a blend of technical and interpersonal skills. You are proficient in using computer technology to support laboratory operations and data analysis. You communicate fluently in English and Afrikaans, ensuring clarity and professionalism in every interaction. Your numerical reasoning skills allow you to perform essential calculations with accuracy and confidence, supporting the precision required in genetic diagnostics.
