Job Summary Senior Sales Consultant - Luxury Safari Travel Company (Remote) A leading luxury safari travel company is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Consultant to join their remote team. This role is responsible for end-to-end sales, itinerary building, product development, and delivering exceptional client service while upholding company standards and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities Manage the full sales cycle: quoting, invoicing, supplier confirmation, and payment follow-up. Handle major accounts and ensure client satisfaction. Build tailored itineraries in line with company standards. Provide excellent customer service and professionally manage complaints. Manage group bookings and tour series efficiently. Maintain accurate reporting and update management regularly. Collaborate effectively with operations, sales, and purchasing teams. Mentor and coach junior staff to ensure continuous development. Participate in shift system including after-hours support and occasional Saturdays. Qualifications & Experience Strong knowledge of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia; East Africa, Mozambique, and Malawi advantageous. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Sales Consultant in the travel industry, ideally luxury travel. Experience with Travel Studio, Wetu, or similar reservation software. Proven ability to manage the full booking lifecycle and handle groups and major accounts. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Skills & Attributes Ability to work across cultures and adapt to client needs. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. High level of customer focus with strong complaint handling. Self-driven; flexible, and able to meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and internet research. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask under pressure. Friendly; flexible, and with a good sense of humour. Other Requirements High sales conversion rates and achieving targets. Quick turnaround on client requests. Understanding of inter-departmental workflows and collaboration. Reliable home office setup with internet and electricity, including during load shedding. Company provides laptop and additional screen; communication via MS Teams and WhatsApp. Working Hours Standard: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 Shift week: After-hours emergency support and Saturday 09:00-13:00 ?
