Job Summary Senior Sales Consultant - Luxury Safari Travel Company | Remote A leading luxury safari travel company is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Consultant to join their remote team. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated travel professional with extensive luxury safari knowledge to manage the end-to-end sales process, provide expert consultation, and deliver outstanding client service. Requirements: Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Sales Consultant in the travel industry, ideally in the luxury sector Strong destination knowledge of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia; knowledge of East Africa, Mozambique, and Malawi advantageous Proven ability to manage all stages of the booking lifecycle, including groups, tour series, and major accounts Experience using Travel Studio and Wetu or similar reservation software Fluent in English, both written and verbal Strong communication skills via phone, email, and virtual meetings Self-driven, highly organised, and able to work independently and remotely Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and internet research High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure Friendly, flexible, and able to maintain a sense of humour Responsibilities: Sales & Client Management Manage the full sales cycle, including quoting, invoicing, supplier confirmation, and payment follow-up Take responsibility for major accounts and ensure client satisfaction Build and tailor itineraries in line with company standards Handle client complaints professionally and proactively Manage group bookings and tour series efficiently Maintain accurate reporting and provide updates to management Collaboration & Mentorship Collaborate effectively with local operations, sales, and purchasing teams Mentor and coach junior staff to support continuous development Understand inter-departmental workflows to ensure smooth operations Remote Work Requirements Work independently from home with reliable internet and electricity (including during load shedding) Use company-provided laptop and additional screen; communicate via MS Teams and WhatsApp Participate in a shift system including after-hours emergency support and Saturdays as required Performance Expectations Maintain high conversion rates and achieve sales targets Ensure quick turnaround times on client requests Deliver expert consultation and exceptional client service at all times Working Hours: Standard: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 Shift week: After-hours emergency support and Saturday 09:00 - 13:00 Package: Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience Fully remote position with company-provided equipment Opportunity to work with a prestigious luxury safari travel brand To Apply: Please send your updated CV and reference letters today Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates who meet the listed requirements will be contacted.
