Reports to: Senior Manager CX R&DDirect Reports: NoneDivision: CIIDepartment: Group Market ResearchKey CustomersChannel PartnersLocation: South Africa, Johannesburg, RandburgPurpose of the PositionTo oversee research projects to ensure results are robust, valid and key business questions are addressed to ensure actionable input for business strategy.Key Performance ObjectivesPolicy, Procedures and ObjectivesDefine processes and procedures to enhance workAgree on the overall objectives for a research project and then work to implement and execute the objectives (including sample design, weighting, questionnaire design, reporting and recommendations)ResearchOversee research projects across all platforms and methodologiesCoordinate and specify the extraction of subscriber lists for sampling purposesEnsure key market trackers continue to deliver marketing insightsDevelop and present research findings and results to Senior Management and applicable stakeholders, make recommendations as requiredDeliver marketing metrics for KPI inclusionDeliver qualitative insights based on customer feedbackConduct scenario planning using conjoint simulators and econometric modelling to support pricing, bundling and new product development decisionsProvide input into questionnaire and sample design of CSAT measurementStakeholder RelationsProvide specialised and technical support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectivesEstablish and monitor healthy, diverse internal and external relations and implement remedial actions where required, in the achievement of organisational goalsWork closely with stakeholders to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support research projects to deliver essential information to inform business decision-makingAnalyse data in different software systemsManage suppliers and business expectationsWork on and track multiple complex projects simultaneouslyFinance and AdministrationInvoicing and payment follow up if requiredTake minutes of meetings and follow up on actionable stepsReportingProvide timely and accurate reports in accordance with business and management requirementsReport on status, risk and timelines regarding product operations team initiatives (Connected Video as well as Group) to provide visibility and line of sightQualifications EssentialDegree/Diploma in Media and Marketing/Market researchQualification PreferredPost Grad Degree in Media and Marketing/Market research or;5-8 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Research in similar industriesExperience5-8 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Research in similar industriesGood understanding of research and statistical techniques including sample design and weightingDesigning of questionnaires and weighting frameworks essentialIdeally proficient in internal BI terminologyProficient in research terminologyUnderstand the SA/MAH (Africa) marketsAbility to multitask and work on multiple complex projects simultaneouslyAfrica experience for MAH preferableRegular travel outside of SA required for MAHTechnical CompetenciesRelationship buildingHolistic ThinkingDiagnostic and Analytical skillsNegotiation skillsPresentation skillsPersuasion skillsCritical appraisalEvaluative and problem solvingCommunication skillsComputer Literacy (Strong Power Point, Excel and data visualization skills)Project ManagementMultiChoice has a COVID-19 mandatory vaccination policy to ensure a productive and healthy workplace.
