Assist with research in land use, water resources, biodiversity, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
Help with environmental, social, and economic data analyses to evaluate sustainability of renewable energy performance in agricultural land.
Help to develop detailed technical specifications for procuring energy-efficient and renewable energy technologies in alignment with national policies and stakeholder priorities.
Assist to assess the projects' effectiveness and impact on agricultural policies, including those under SALA. PDALA and CARA.
Draft clear, accurate technical reports and contribute to monthly and quarterly project reporting.
Utilise and maintain facilities, apparatus and equipment.
Participate in sectional meetings, seminars, conferences and workshops.
Ensures compliance with OHS and Safety Procedures.
National Diploma or equivalent in Environmental Sciences, Agricultural sciences, Geography or Resource Management or Energy Studies.
Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
Registration with relevant scientific registration body, if applicable.
Experience contributing to technical reports, peer-reviewed publications, or policy briefs.
Strong understanding of key South African policy frameworks (e.g., CARA, SALA, PDALA).
Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and visualization skills.
Exceptional technical writing and verbal communication capabilities.
Demonstrated experience in drafting procurement documentation and managing technical specifications.
Proven track record of engaging effectively with stakeholders across government, industry, and community sectors.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Valid driver's licence (code 08/EB).
