We are seeking a highly experienced

Registered Nurse

to provide professional support to our nursing team who care for high-care patients in home settings. This role is ideal for a

retired or semi-retired Registered Nurse

who wishes to continue contributing to patient care on a flexible schedule.

The position involves two key functions:

Conducting check-ins and oversight visits

with nurses assigned to high-care patients at home.

Working selected clinical shifts

providing direct nursing care to patients who require full ventilatory support in a home environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional oversight, guidance, and mentorship to nurses working with high-care patients at home. Conduct regular check-ins to ensure high standards of patient care, documentation, and clinical practice. Offer clinical support and problem-solving assistance when needed. Ensure adherence to care plans, safety protocols, and professional nursing standards. Communicate effectively with care coordinators, family members, and other healthcare providers when required. Perform direct patient care during scheduled shifts, including the management and monitoring of patients receiving ventilatory support. Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant nursing records. Promote a supportive and professional care environment.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (Current or Eligible for Registration). Minimum 20 years ICU experience. Strong clinical judgement and the ability to support nurses in the field. Experience with ventilated patients is essential. Reliable, compassionate, and committed to maintaining high standards of nursing care. Flexible availability for check-ins and shift work.

Ideal Candidate

A dedicated, knowledgeable, and experienced nurse who may be retired or semi-retired but wishes to remain active in the nursing profession on a flexible, part-time basis.

Job Type: Temp to perm

Pay: R700,00 - R1000,00 per day
