Senior Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
This is a full-time position for a Senior Quantity Surveyor located in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost control, BOQ, cost management, cost planning, and cost reporting.
The Quantity Surveyor will also be responsible for reviewing project specifications, analyzing and interpreting data, and liaising with clients, contractors, and site managers.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
Professional registration with SACQSP (PrQS) with minimum 3 years post-registration PrQS experience is preferable
Proficiency in IT systems WinQS, DimX and BIM.
Detailed knowledge and experience in Commercial property sector
Experience in pre contract services from feasibility through tendering, measurement of building works for estimating, reports, Project Cost Reporting, report writing and preparation of tender and contractual documentation.
Experience in procurement methods, strategies and forms of contracts, administration of contract procedures.
Experience in post contact services, interim valuation applications, change management, extension of time claims etc.
Demonstratable experience in client interface and dealing with consultants, contractors and other stakeholders with confidence and assurance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
Proven track record
