What's the job?
As our Senior Property Development Manager, you'll be at the heart of developing new campuses and facilities from greenfield sites to full project close-out. Think land acquisition, site planning, project governance, and construction oversight. You'll work with internal stakeholders, external professionals, and authorities to turn vision into reality--on time, on budget, and beyond expectations.
You'll Be Doing Things Like:

• Investigating and assessing sites to determine feasibility and risks
• Leading the development of school campus plans with engineers and architects
• Managing town planning processes like rezoning and consent use
• Coordinating construction teams, contracts, and compliance
• Driving project timelines, budgets, and resource planning
• Presenting CAPEX proposals and helping steer long-term infrastructure planning
• Reporting to leadership and playing a key role in property strategy

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Building Sciences (Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying)
• Postgrad qualification in Building Sciences or Business (Master's)
• 10+ years of experience in property development and construction
• Prior project management/design experience (2-3 years)
• Driver's license (you'll be on the move)
• Bonus if you're professionally registered with an industry council

You'll Stand Out If You:

• Know your way around JBCC & FIDIC contracts, town planning, and SANS 10400
• Understand sustainability practices and property legislation
• Can negotiate, coordinate, and lead like a boss
• Have solid experience in stakeholder management, feasibility models, and CAPEX planning
• Are passionate about building spaces that inspire education and growth
