Lesedi Nuclear Services is seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to establish and maintain realistic, achievable project programs. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing, analyzing, and ensuring the credibility of project schedules while providing strategic guidance to the project planning team.
Key Performance Areas:
Project Delivery and Strategic Planning
Develop and review comprehensive Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
Perform advanced Earned Value Analysis
Create and maintain project performance dashboards
Identify and mitigate project risks
Provide guidance and mentorship to project planners
Assist in strategic planning functions
Conduct portfolio analysis to optimize resource allocation
Departmental and Company Process Support
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and SHEQ departments
Ensure contractual requirements are accurately reflected in project plans
Participate in process improvements
Maintain compliance with company Quality Management Systems
Assist in establishing and operating the Project Management Office (PMO)
Strategic Support and Execution
Support tender and proposal development
Generate project development leads
Apply company strategies in daily operations
Consolidate and distribute integrated planning reports
Implement project decision-driving processes
Qualifications:
Qualified artisan in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation discipline
Recognized qualification in Industrial/Process/Manufacturing engineering
Project Management Qualification
Planner certification from PMI or AACE
Experience:
5-10 years post-qualification practical experience in a technical field
Minimum 5 years' experience in project planning using Primavera or MS Projects
At least 2 years in a supervisory/management capacity
Competencies:
Knowledge:
Advanced technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation processes
Expert-level scheduling principles and development
Advanced Project Management (PMBOK) principles
Earned Value Management (EVM)
Construction contract knowledge (NEC & FIDIC)
Delay analysis techniques
Advanced project program analysis
Skills:
Proficient in MS Office
Expert in planning software (Primavera preferred)
Process flow analysis
Procedure and guide generation
Time-Impact Analysis
Technical documentation
