Job Summary

What will you do?

Our client in the Insurance/Financial Industry completed the design phase of its Finance operating model. The implementation phase will now commence and is expected to run for the next 2-3 years. They are seeking services for project management support for successful management and delivery of this phase of the project. A core objective of the implementation phase is to improve effective service delivery from Finance underpinned by process optimisation, and investment in data management and technology.

What will make you successful in this role?

Responsibilities would include the following:

  • Project planning and management
  • Collaboration with ancillary project managers to enable coordinated delivery of a portfolio of group- wide projects
  • Co-ordination of different groups of people from varying disciplines associated with the project
  • Arranging meetings and events
  • Taking meeting minutes
  • Providing monthly project status reporting
  • Stakeholder management
  • Assisting with project communications
Qualification and Experience
  • Degree or Diploma with at least 8 to 15 years related project management experience.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strategic project oversight - Is a recognised expert in providing project oversight of high-profile projects and in the techniques and tools necessary to successfully manage the process.
  • Project planning, directing and co-ordination - Demonstrates expert ability to realistically anticipate resource needs, identify and break work down into discrete and measurable tasks, set priorities, define dependencies, schedule activities, prepare acceptance criteria, organise work and drive towards organisational outcomes for large projects. Reshapes the project during life-cycle evolution if needed.
  • Project tracking and reporting - Demonstrates expert knowledge and experience in project tracking and status reporting.
