Senior Project Engineer (airport Infrastructure)
Job Description
Position Overview:
A well-established organization based in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineer with a strong background in project management and airport infrastructure. This individual will play a key role in overseeing the construction and compliance of airport infrastructure projects such as bridges and roadways.
Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
At least 15 years of relevant engineering experience
Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM) registered with SACPCMP
Demonstrated experience working with Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) or on similar airport-related projects
Proven track record in managing complex infrastructure projects, specifically within an airport environment
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead the construction of airport infrastructure (e.g., bridges, roadways)
Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and airport security protocols
Oversee project cost control, scheduling, and adherence to ACSA standards
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of projects
Lead multidisciplinary teams and contractors on-site
Prepare and present project reports and progress updates to executive teams
