Requirements
A relevant three-year tertiary qualification, preferable a
B-degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years' relevant experience
required
Standby on a roster to be performed
Veritas Netbackup experience would be advantageous
Valid driver's licence.
Key Performance Areas
Identify short, medium, and long-term objectives and plans
for the enhancement of the backup and recovery solutions
by keeping abreast of technological developments
Direct and control outcomes associated with utilisation,
productivity, and performance of personnel in the backup
and recovery team
Implement procedures, systems, and controls to regulate
specific work and associated sequences associated with
the functionality
Manage the data protection of the SAP, Microsoft systems
and Linux environments
Manage the data protection of SAP and Microsoft SAAS
solutions
Manage data protection infrastructure including specialist
data protection appliances, long term retention appliances
and tape libraries
Participate in projects through the life-cycle
Optimisation of people skills and resources.
Manage the formulation of contract and tender documents
and controls contractual obligations.
