SENIOR PRIMARY LEARNING SUPPORT EDUCATOR
FULL TIME, PERMANENT POSITION
Thomas More College seeks to employ a dynamic, motivated team player who aligns with the school's vision of delivering An Inspired Education. This role will report to the Deputy Head of Academics and HOD of AEU.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A strong understanding of educational standards, the ability to align curriculum with learning objectives, and the skill to track and communicate pupil advancement.
Teaching skills in reading, English, and Mathematics to pupils individually and in learning support groups within a classroom.
Provide support to classroom teachers in creating inclusive environments and adapting tasks for learners with varied abilities.
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate records of pupil information.
Proactively communicate with parents and maintain positive relationships.
Stay up to date with the latest developments and best practices in teaching and learning support within the Intermediate Phase.
Working with an online Learner Management System (such as Google Classroom and EdAdmin).
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Adherence to the values, vision, and Christian Ethos of the School.
A Remedial Education Diploma or /and Honours in Learner's Support.
SACE registered.
At least 5 years' experience teaching in the Intermediate Phase; ideally in an IEB school.
Experience in interpreting Educational Assessment Reports.
A willingness to participate fully in the school's extracurricular programme.
A natural inclination toward constant improvement and personal growth.
Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
Effective communication skills.
Adhere to the School code of conduct.
Criminal and Sexual Offender's Clearance Certificate.
