We invite nominations from highly experienced and self-reliant ophthalmologists who are passionate about making a difference in underserved regions. The ideal candidate will have:

Proven expertise in complex cataract surgery. Broad proficiency in general ophthalmologic procedures. Additional subspecialty in vitreoretinal surgery (preferred)

The Role:

The

Senior Ophthalmologist

will play a pivotal role in setting up and delivering a full-spectrum ophthalmology service. The initial 3-month tenure will involve:

Establishing a fully operational ophthalmology clinic and dedicated operating theater. Providing independent surgical care, including complex cataract procedures. Performing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic ophthalmic services. Supporting the training and development of local medical staff. Perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnosis, and treatment of eye diseases. Conduct surgeries including cataract, glaucoma, and other advanced procedures. Lead clinical teams and provide mentorship to junior staff and residents.
Requirements:

Accredited medical degree and specialist certification

Valid clinical license

Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in specialty
