Senior Network Engineer (with Network Architecture Experience)

Job Description
A client in the IT Solutions industry is looking for a Senior Network Engineer who has had exposure to Network Architecture. You will have a strong background in Network Security as well as designing, implementing and maintaining their network infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Relevant IT Qualifications such as MTCNA, MTCINE, HCIA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP
- +/-6 years minimum Network Engineering experience
- Network Security
- Network Architecture
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, DNS, DHCP, SNMP
- Familiar with IPv6 and the ability to transition from IPv4 to IPv6
- VPN Technologies such as IPsec, SSL / TLS and GRE
- Understand cloud environments such as AWS / Azure
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds or PRTG
- Network configuration management and tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Experience with VMware or HyperV
- Network Architecture and Design
- Technical Leadership
- Network Implementation and Maintenance
- Security and Compliance
- Capacity planning and scalability
- Vendor management
- Network Protocols
- Routing and Switching
- Network virtualization and SDN
