Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Building Services Design: Specialize in HVAC and Fire Protection.
• Experience with Wet Services would be a strong advantage.
• Responsible Mechanical Engineer: Take ownership of designs and sign off as required.
• Project Leadership: Plan, manage, and control projects effectively.
• Bid & Tender Preparation: Lead the submission process to secure projects.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to GIBB's QMS and industry standards.
• Mentorship & Training: Support the development of junior engineers and technologists.
• Client Engagement: Build strong client relationships and maintain professional communication.
• Project Management: Oversee execution and delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• BEng (Mech), BSc Eng (Mech), or BTech in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng or Pr.TechEng) is required
• Minimum 7-10 years post-graduate experience in mechanical building services
• Proven expertise in HVAC (VRF, Chilled Water, Hot Water, Air Handling)
• Experience in Fire Protection & Sprinklers
• Knowledge of Plumbing & Drainage (beneficial)
• Familiarity with SANS, National Building Regulations & construction monitoring
• Experience with infrastructure projects (advantageous)

Software Proficiency:

• REVIT & AutoCAD (CAD software for mechanical design)
• MS Office Suite
• Carrier HAP & LoadEst (HVAC design tools)
