Mechanical Building Services Design: Specialize in HVAC and Fire Protection.
Experience with Wet Services would be a strong advantage.
Responsible Mechanical Engineer: Take ownership of designs and sign off as required.
Project Leadership: Plan, manage, and control projects effectively.
Bid & Tender Preparation: Lead the submission process to secure projects.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to GIBB's QMS and industry standards.
Mentorship & Training: Support the development of junior engineers and technologists.
Client Engagement: Build strong client relationships and maintain professional communication.
Project Management: Oversee execution and delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications & Requirements:
BEng (Mech), BSc Eng (Mech), or BTech in Mechanical Engineering
Professional registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng or Pr.TechEng) is required
Minimum 7-10 years post-graduate experience in mechanical building services
Proven expertise in HVAC (VRF, Chilled Water, Hot Water, Air Handling)
Experience in Fire Protection & Sprinklers
Knowledge of Plumbing & Drainage (beneficial)
Familiarity with SANS, National Building Regulations & construction monitoring
Experience with infrastructure projects (advantageous)
Software Proficiency:
REVIT & AutoCAD (CAD software for mechanical design)
MS Office Suite
Carrier HAP & LoadEst (HVAC design tools)
