Hire Resolve is currently working with a reputable company in Northern Suburbs of Cape Town that is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in the Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain industry. Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components for transportation equipment
• Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate designs for efficiency and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of mechanical systems with other components
• Perform analysis and simulations to optimize mechanical designs
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test plans
• Conduct performance tests and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
• Lead and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, or 5 years experience in the direct industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering software
• Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus
