Job Summary Our client, a National leader in the Manufacturing industry is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a dynamic Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering team based in their Mpumalanga Operation. PLEASE NOTE : The successful incumbent will have to demonstrate a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, and experience with product design and development, and be able to work both independently and as a pivot mentoring part of a team. MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE : To play a vital role in the design and development of a wide range of sheet metal finished products and systems. KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS : At minimum a degree in the Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Sheet metal and machinery design working knowledge. Solidworks and Solidworks PDM package experience is essential. Rocky DEM would be an advantage. Engineering design knowledge is essential. Logical and detail orientated methodologies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload in a pressurized environment. Complex Problem Solving Judgment and Decision Making Operations Monitoring Systems Analysis Operations Analysis Quality Control Analysis Critical Thinking KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Provide creative and technical solutions for cost savings, product improvements, and service issues. Produce General Arrangement and Layout drawings. Produce detailed drawings for machined parts. Produce detailed drawings for fabrication/manufacturing of machinery and equipment. Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings. Design, simulations, building, and testing of automated machinery or processes. Consultation with Engineers and workshop teams to get input to optimize designs. Conduct site measurements of structures and areas. Apply Now!
