Key responsibilities:

Ensure that mechanical engineering tasks on assigned projects are completed within the allocated manhours and approved timelines, adhering to project procedures, standards, and specifications.
Carry out design work as required by the Lead Project Engineer
Advise HOD / Lead Engineer of possible fields for technical investigations
Carry out technical investigations, including development of computer programs and produce technical reports when required.
Conduct plant audits and manage the design component of engineering studies.
Provide mechanical expertise for troubleshooting and operations optimization.
Efficient and accurate design of oil and gas piping systems, pump selection, fire fighting design, etc.
Sign off on concept/basic/detail mechanical designs produced for complex projects
Support a team of engineers, technicians and draughtspeople to accomplish the above within the agreed time frame, costs and quality
