Job & Company Description: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, youll be responsible for leading full lifecycle HVAC design and implementation, from concept through to project closeout. Youll manage junior and senior team members, ensure compliance with local and international standards, and provide technical direction across a broad spectrum of mechanical services, including Wet Services and Fire Protection. Strong client engagement, project leadership, and a high level of design proficiency are essential to succeed in this role.This role is especially suited for an engineer currently operating in the data centre sector or with direct experience in data centre mechanical systems.Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng., B.Sc. Eng., or B.Tech. Eng.)
• Minimum 7 years experience in Building Services Consulting
• At least 2 years post-registration as a Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech Eng.
• Expertise in HVAC design, including heat load and ventilation calculations
• Proven track record on data centre mechanical projects
• Knowledge of SANS, ASHRAE, and British Standards
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, and HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, IES)
• Familiarity with Wet Services and Fire Protection systems
• Excellent technical report writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Code B drivers license (own transport preferred)
