Senior Mechanical Applications Engineer - BoksburgSenior Mechanical Applications Engineer - PumpsQualificationMechanical Engineering Degree / Diploma or completion of mechanical-related Trade TestSales and Marketing Qualification would be an advantageRequirementsAt least 5 years' experience within the pumps IndustrySales and marketing, technical support for commissioning, operation, and maintenance of installed pumps, as well as handling repairs and spare partsValid driver's licence, must be willing to travel locally and internationallyComputer literate on MS Projects and MS OfficeDutiesSalesEnsure quarterly and annual sales targets are metTechnical input and support for quotes and tenders are provided regarding pump selection, pricing, and costingInstallation supervision and commissioning as requiredQuotation and tender documents' technical sections are standardisedCustomer ServiceAll client requests are responded to within 24 hoursImprovement areas are identified and strategies implemented as per management approvalImmediate action is taken on non-compliance issuesInstallation, commissioning, operating and maintenance assistance is provided as requestedTraining for clients, operators and other plant personnel as requiredPump efficiency test campaigns are conducted and reports distributed to stakeholdersTestworkPartner with R&D in conducting test work and reviewing reportsMarketingPresentations are delivered to customers as requiredOpportunities are supported with point of sale materialMarket activities are reported on as per departmental requirementsAdministrationCall reports are prepared in time and distributed to stakeholdersAll expenditures are submitted as per company policyManagement reports are prepared by due date as requiredCommissioning/inspection checklists are prepared and reviewed as requiredQuality and SafetyAdhere to QA/QC procedures and maintain internationally accepted standardsAdhere to all safety procedures as per business and OHSA requirementsAssist in compilation and updating of operating and maintenance manuals
