Job Description

Our client is currently looking for a Senior Materials Technician (SMTxe2x80x99s) in Tshwane/Cape Town, responsible for contracts management within the projectxe2x80x99s environment, with a special focus on SANRAL Projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 20 Yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the Materials Field without any qualification, or N.Dip in Civil Engineering with minimum of 10 Yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the Materials Field, or Pr Techni Eng with minimum of 5 Yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the Materials Field.
• Experience as Senior Materials Technician (SMT) on SANRAL project/s is required.
• Thorough working knowledge of specifications and Bill of Quantities (COLTO/COTO, SANS 1200, project specific etc.)
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills required
• Good administrative skills
• Analytical and logical skills
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
• Excellent client relation skills
• Relevance of Experience (Client): The experience should be with Client bodies being either South African National Roads Authority and/or Concessionaire and/or Provincial Authority (indicate relevant client body for each of three projects).
• Relevance of Experience (Project Type): The Applicant is required to have experience as a Senior Materials Technician (SMT) in xe2x80x9cDevelopmentxe2x80x9d Improvementxe2x80x9d (Road upgrades) and/or xe2x80x9cDevelopment New Facilitiesxe2x80x9d (New Road Infrastructure projects) (indicate relevant project type for each of three projects).
• Structural Experience would be beneficial.

• R50 000 - R80 000 per month
