Job Description
Senior Manager/Mine Overseer
An EME based in Pretoria East, Waltloo is looking for an energetic, sharp, dedicated and disciplined professional to join their team. .
The following are the minimum requirements:
1. A certificate in mining operations as a minimum qualification
2. A minimum of 5 years experience as a Senior Manager/Mine Overseer
3. Mine Overseer Certificate of competence/license
4. Competent A and Competent B Certificates
5. Deep knowledge of Mine Health & Safety

Skills and Competencies required
1. Oversee daily/weekly production, manage equipment, implement mining methods, and achieve output targets. Pro-active in preventing hazards
2. Supervise shift supervisors, manage labour utilization, and foster a safe work environment.
3. Perform regular site inspections, audits, and equipment checks to ensure compliance and identify unsafe conditions.
4. Develop and deliver Mine safety training, orientations, and awareness programs for all staff.
5. Maintain accurate Mine safety records, prepare reports, and communicate safety performance to leadership.
