Support CIB's sustainability agenda by developing sustainability, green and transition strategies and approach, offering guidance, monitoring progress, and ensuring global best practice alignment. Coordinate both internal and external sustainability reporting, advise on evolving frameworks, and align processes among CIB stakeholders to meet evolving requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Support the development of sustainability, green and transition strategies and approach across CIB
Track progress and implementation of relevant strategies and identify execution risks and propose remedial actions to strategic leads
Identify transition, mitigation, adaptation, nature and social financing opportunities and work with sector teams to enable them to position with clients
Understand the link between climate-related risks and financial performance, and the impact of these on business and sector strategies
Share innovative insights, peer analysis and critical thinking which constructively challenge business and assist in driving change
Keep abreast of relevant regulatory and industry trends to develop strategies to ensure CIB appropriately addresses these trends
Develop approach to impact tracking for relevant strategies
Support delivery of CIB's contribution to the Transition Plan to meet regulatory and IFRS requirements
Project manage delivery of CIB contributions to relevant group programmes
Management of relevant CIB elements of sustainability disclosure approach and delivery, working closely with Finance, Risk and other internal teams to provide best-in-class disclosures across core reporting channels
Support IFRS S1 and S2 enablement and reporting as required
Collate and present accurate and insightful sustainability reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders
Support process embedding for relevant sustainability related processes
Support systems requirements for ESG data & systems workstreams
Excellent research and analysis skills, and ability to integrate substantial quantities of complex and constantly evolving information on climate change and sustainability on individual assets, portfolios, markets etc.
Engage professionally and confidently with a wide variety of stakeholders, and build partnerships and manage collaborative initiatives
Establish and maintaining sound working relationships within CIB and Group stakeholders
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification Master's degree: Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Science or any other related business or science field
GARP SCR or CFA
Minimum Experience Level 6-9 years' experience in analytical, strategic and sustainability environment within financial services or financial services consulting, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving delivery

Corporate and investment banking and / or relevant consulting experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop data-driven insights
Excellent research and data analysis abilities, with proficiency in using analytical tools and software
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to different stakeholders
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of key strategic concepts and frameworks
Deep understanding of corporate and investment banking with the ability to leverage these insights to craft strategies and solve business problems
