Job Specification

Reporting to the Operations Manager Grain & Seed, the incumbent will be responsible for the execution of the Grain Procurement function in the group. This includes managing all aspects of contracts and procurement of the category. Provides purchasing services including enquiries; adjudication of tenders; placing orders; compiling/administration of contracts and settling contract disputes. Ensures compliance with legal and company regulations. Establishes and optimises the logistics channels and ensures the availability of products procured as well as delivered timeously.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant B Degree (BCom or Agriculture Economics). JSE Agricultural Products and Derivative Dealers Exam will be an advantage
• 6 years related grain procurement experience
• Ability to effectively communicate and/or negotiate with high level of proficiency
• Excellent MS Office & Procurement supplier/dealer integrated systems skills

• The procurement, inventory and stock management of grain and services at a national level, including vendor and contract management for the grain portfolio.

• Engaging and maintaining productive and value adding relationships with customers as well as internal and external stakeholders whilst influencing best fit procurement solutions

• Driving automation/optimization of the grain procurement system - reporting functional management information and trend analyses
• Develop consumer-facing content across a variety of segments to publicize the company's products & brands
