Our client, a respected leader in the financial services sector, is seeking a Senior Manager - Private Equity and Alternative Investments to join their Corporate Finance team.This is an exciting opportunity to lead private market investment activities, manage a high-performing portfolio, and shape the alternative investments strategy within a purpose-driven, future-focused organisation.What You'll Do

• Develop and lead private market investment strategies across private equity, venture capital, and other alternative assets.
• Source and evaluate new investment opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
• Conduct due diligence, risk assessments, and in-depth financial analysis on potential deals.
• Manage and monitor an active investment portfolio, including exit strategy development.
• Build strong relationships with fund managers, general partners, and co-investment partners.
• Lead and mentor a small team of investment professionals, fostering a performance culture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, and risk teams.

What You Bring

• A Commerce/Finance degree (CA(SA) or equivalent preferred)
• 8-10 years of relevant investment experience, with at least 5 years in private markets
• Strong track record in fund-of-funds and/or direct co-investments
• Excellent skills in financial modelling, deal structuring, and valuation
• A natural leader and relationship builder, with clear communication skills
• Strategic thinking and a passion for alternative investments
