Job description Summary
Develop, integrate and drive value-focused standards and processes to ensure maximized delivery of measurable value and results across the PPB Portfolio of strategic initiatives (SI) and programmes. Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of business case development, Strategic Initiative/ Programme evaluation, outcome-based reviews and benefits tracking & realization across the portfolio.
Role Purpose
To ensure the organisation realises planned value from its change and investment portfolio through accurate financial tracking, benefits modelling, governance, and reporting.
DutiesPPB BoW planning aligned to MTP
+ Aligning investment decisions to PPB and Group strategy
+ Ensuring optimal prioritisation of initiatives
+ Map strategic priorities and establish interlock with Strategy, ITO, Finance.
+ Intake initiatives from BUs, Functions and multi-year programmes.
+ Advise business unit decision makers on the process and requirements during the MTP (Medium Term Planning), STP (Short-term/budget planning) and RAF (Revised Annual Forecast) cycles
+ Ensure that BoW commitment and thorough input is obtained for these activities and support them with translating strategy into financial objectives on request
Benefits Tracking & Forecasting
+ Track actual vs planned benefits through PlanEx or equivalent systems.
+ Verify accuracy of benefit data; ensure timely updates.
+ Maintain commentary on variance, risks, and delivery confidence.
Manage and review the consolidated financial plans generated by MTP, STP and RAF prepared by the team and quality check the consolidations prior to governance meetings
Reporting & Insights
+ Produce value management reports for senior leadership (COO, Exco).
+ Highlight root causes for missed or delayed benefits.
+ Recommend corrective actions and enable decision?making.
Governance & Assurance
+ Ensure adherence to benefits?realisation frameworks, ensure compliance of the relevant policies.
+ Ensure transparent and accurate data across committees.
+ Participate in internal audit reviews on benefits governance.
+ Risk Management - Implement areas identified in the review of audit issue/findings logs and ensure adequate attention is given to closure within the agreed timelines by the accountable incumbent within the team
