Job Description
A prominent organization within the infrastructure and energy sector is seeking a senior legal executive to lead its legal operations division. This pivotal, on-site leadership role drives internal capability, reduces legal spending, and supports group-level restructuring.Minimum Requirements:
- LLB or B Proc (NQF 8) plus an admitted attorney/ advocate.
- 10+ years' post-admission experience.
- Regulatory and enviromental compliance, legal knowledge related to independent power producers (IPP), risk management, contracts management, corporate governance and ethics.
- Experience in protection of intellectual property would be an advantage.
- Registered with the Legal Practice Council (LPC).
- Formulate and execute legal strategy.
- Manage a professional legal advisory team.
- Provide strategic and professional legal advice.
- Manage dispute resolution and provide negotiation assistance.
- Assist with the implementation of legislation and case law,
- Manage external attorneys.
- Manage client relationships.
