Job Description

PURPOSE:
As the Senior Manager - Employee Wellness and Benefits, you will be responsible for leading the Total Employee Wellness approach at TSAM. Your role will ensure a proactive and dynamic strategy that promotes Primary Health Care (PHC), Occupational Health Care (OHC), Employee Health and Well-being, while maintaining compliance with relevant South African legislation.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Senior Manager Employee Wellness and Benefits will be responsible for the following objectives:

  • Strategic Leadership - Oversee operations and services related to Health & EAP departments across TSAM (Durban & Johannesburg) including the 7 onsite clinics .
  • Service Provider Management - Ensure top-tier service delivery and contract compliance and ensure periodic evaluation of the service offering provided by on-site service providers in line with strategic objectives.
  • Financial & Administrative Oversight - Drive effective budget planning, cost management, and financial reporting for the 7clinics (PHC and OHC) and EAP.
  • Employee Healthcare & Support - Monitor and report on patient care quality while ensuring cost-effective health services.
  • Total Employee Wellness Execution - Develop action plans to enhance employee well-being in collaboration with Safety, Health & Environment, Canteens, and Health Services.
  • Performance & Compliance Monitoring - Oversee facilities, KPI management, SLA development, and contract planning for all service providers.
  • Emergency response programme - Design, implement, and manage emergency response programs, within the Toyota Production environment and/or any other occupational emergency disasters, to promote and maintain a healthy workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • NQF Level 6 with 360 Credits in Business Management / Administration (preferential) or Human Resources Management equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 Years Management experience at a senior level in the related field is essential,
  • Advanced computer skills. Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • SAP knowledge and experience will be an advantage.
  • Excellent managerial, organisational and verbal/written communication skills with a
  • proactive approach to problem solving and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety environment and Laws
  • Project Management will be an advantage.
  • Managing staff, processes and projects.
  • Medical & Wellness management, knowledge and experience will be an advantage.
