Job Description

To manages the Information Systems functionality, aligning functional key performance areas and procedures necessary to enable interpretation and translation of the strategic intent encompassed in the IDP.
This post reports to DEPUTY HEAD (DEVELOPMENT PLANNING)
Key Responsibility Areas

  • Identifying and aligns the branches key performance areas to support policy and procedural changes and/ or divisional objectives.
  • Directing and controlling outcomes associated with utilisation, productivity and performance of staff within the branch.
  • Preparing capital and operating estimates and controls expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
  • Collecting, analysing and interprets built and natural environment data.
  • Implementing appropriate information and communication technologies within the branch and directorate.
  • Developing directorate business processes.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the implementation of ICT within the directorate.
  • Disseminating information on Directorate functionalities, including land use and development of both the natural and built environments.
  • Co-ordinating administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result indicators.

Essential Requirements
  • Degree (NQF Level 7) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field or any other related or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  • 7 years relevant experience of which 3 years must be at a management level.
Preferred Requirements
  • Post Graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field or any other related or equivalent qualification.
  • 8 years relevant experience of which 4 years must be at a management level.
