Job Summary

Senior Maintenance Planner - GG Projects - Lephalale 24 months contract

We are recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Planner with experience in GG Projects. To manage and coordinate Physical Asset Management processes within their relevant area. Must have a Certificate in Maintenance Planning and Sched. Trade relevant to MQA/QCTO is essential. Must have a Diploma/B Tech in Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance, production and material management planning on SAP or relevant system.

Key competencies and skills

Administration and document control

  • Coordinate office admin and control documents to support departmental functions
  • Ensure related data on document management systems/databases is aligned with procedural standards
  • Standardise data input and ensure accurate capturing
  • Establish/maintain data library and ensure effective distribution thereof
  • Control and document changes
  • Maintain archive via history analysis and monthly reporting
  • Conduct functional audits on documents
  • Audit reports on materials consumption/deviations
Budget and Cost control
  • Ensure bill of material is updated
  • Ensure annual estimates are correct
  • Update contract prices with reference to Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and running costs
  • Incorporate Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) 10-year schedule into Maintenance Cost Budgeting (MCB)
  • Export Maintenance Cost Budgeting Forecast (MCBF) to MS-Excel and distribute to foreman for input
  • Conduct changes in SAP and ensure it simulates correctly in MCBF
  • Execute stop/start of maintenance plan with respect to end of life
  • Provide inputs into the preparation of business plan presentation
Compliance, Governance and Assurance
  • Ensure and maintain a healthy environment and safe operations and practices
  • Comply with Safety Health Environment and Community (SHEC) - and technical requirements, in line with plant/mine availability targets
  • Form part of a Safety Health Environment Risk and Quality (SHERQ) integrated system to influence and partake in International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9001, 14001 and 18001
  • Respond to defects and/or sub-standard equipment performance and other improvement opportunities via notification process
  • Accountable to manage changes to technical asset register
Construction and Routine Work Management
  • Coordinate internal labour/services requirements with schedulers
  • Integrate resource requirements with other areas
  • Ensure approved plans per identified item
  • Budget and plant maintenance reporting
  • Track condition monitoring/wear checks
  • Assist with production planning
  • Ensure integrity of equip history/asset register, Bill of Materials (BOM's)
  • Facilitate/assist with change control process
  • Analyse equipment performance/historical data in terms of costs/materials usage/reliability/availability throughput
  • Coordinate the Reconditioning process
  • Coordinate Routine Work Maintenance (RWM) reports to foreman and head of maintenance
  • Plan resources and track to determine resource availability and performance
  • Monitor the reconditioning process to ensure the availability of reconditioned spares and no spares shortages
  • Monitor critical spares movement
  • Accountable for executing functions as per standard relating to SAP PM master data, planning and processing
Customer, Stakeholder and client relationship management
  • Support core business by ensuring appropriate stakeholder relationships toward enhancing corporate profile
  • Manage internal and external relations, including interface with external providers and contractors or other functions responsible to ensure that business needs are met
  • Provide relevant and specialised support to applicable stakeholders
Safety, health and environment
  • Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA's)
  • Ensure safety comes first
  • Maintain and ensure a healthy environment and safe operationspractices.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures in line with set standards
  • Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations
Talent Management
  • Promote teamwork, provide support and manage employee and contractor performance by creating and maintaining individual development plans of subordinates
  • Oversee all recruitment and HR related activities of reporting staff
