An experienced Senior Manager, Legal and Compliance, is required to provide strategic legal oversight and risk management support in a complex corporate environment. Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role is responsible for contract governance, litigation coordination, company secretarial support, and enterprise risk and compliance management.
The role requires a senior legal professional with strong corporate governance expertise, insurance knowledge (including marine liability and cargo), and practical experience with SHE and ESG frameworks. You will partner with executive stakeholders to safeguard the organisations legal and compliance position while ensuring adherence to legislative and governance standards.
Key Requirements:
- LLB degree and admission as an Attorney or Advocate
- Minimum 10 years post-admission corporate legal experience
- At least 4 years at a senior management level
- Strong knowledge of the Companies Act and corporate governance
- Experience in insurance, risk, ESG, and compliance frameworks
- Advanced contract drafting, negotiation, and reporting capability
