My client is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor (Corporate & Competition) with a LLB Degree (NQF level 7).

Requirements

LLB Degree (NQF level 7)
7 Years relevant legal & commercial experience of which at least 2 years at management level
Admission as practicing Attorney or Advocate
Business Acumen; Commercial Law; Company Law; Competition Law; Corporate Law; ICT Environment; Property Law

Responsibilities include

Contribute to the strategic direction and management of Legal Services and implement Legal Services Strategy
Assist the Executive Legal Services to develop and implement corporate strategies and policies.
Advise on mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, competition considerations, and other ancillary and related issues.
Co-ordinate and manage the approach towards corporate and commercial issues arising from time to time and to which the organization is party or potentially party.
Carry a caseload of high-level and/or complex individual legal matters.
Prepare legal reports and provide legal comments to ensure that management and decision-makers are fully informed of legal implications of proposed courses of action.
Implement and manage appropriate systems and processes to ensure that the organization's directors/leadership comply with their respective responsibilities and obligations.
Assist in the interpretation of law, rulings, and regulations governing the organization's commercial and operational activities.
Prepare legal documents and business contracts and administer other related legal matters.
