Job Requirements

For appointment at Senior Lecturer level:

A PhD in Northern Sotho.

Minimum of five (5) years' teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or at least seven (7) years of relevant professional experience.

A minimum of five publications in accredited, peer-reviewed academic journals.

Experience in postgraduate student supervision is advantageous.

Strong administrative capabilities and the ability to manage academic workload effectively.

Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, inspiring, and student-centered teaching.

Duties:

Deliver teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Supervise Honours, Master's, and Doctoral students.

Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement within the department.

Publish scholarly work in accredited journals.

Participate in community engagement initiatives.

Integrate E-learning and online platforms into teaching practices.

For appointment at Lecturer level:

A Master's degree in Northern Sotho.

At least three (3) years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or five (5) years of relevant professional experience.

Publications in peer-reviewed and/or non-peer-reviewed journals will be considered an asset.

Duties

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Supervise Honours and Master's students.

Support curriculum development and improvement efforts.

Publish academic work in accredited journals.

Engage in community outreach activities.

Utilize E-learning and digital platforms for instructional delivery.

For appointment at Junior Lecturer level:

An Honours degree in Northern Sotho.

Duties:

Teach undergraduate modules.

* Assist in the development and refinement of departmental curriculum.
