Job Purpose
The purpose of the job is to:

Teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across disciplines such as tourism and events management andbusiness administration according to a set syllabus. Contribute to academic leadership in the Department. Facilitate curriculum design, implementation, and assessment in a variety of programmes and contexts.

The incumbent will also supervise postgraduate students and convene post-doctoral research.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum Requirements: Senior Lecturer



Doctoral qualification: Doctor of Commerce / Doctor of Tourism/ Doctor of Geography or related Tourism Management fields.
Underpinning Masters qualification in one or more of the sub-fields of Tourism Management.

At least four (4) years' relevant teaching experience in Higher Education.

Experience in curriculum development

Track record in academic leadership, research output and postgraduate supervision.

Recommended: Senior Lecturer




Knowledge of the higher education landscape in SA.
