Job Requirements

For appointment at Senior Lecturer level:

A PhD in History of Education, Philosophy of Education, or Sociology of Education.

A minimum of five years' teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or at least seven years of professional experience in a relevant field.

A proven academic record with at least five publications in accredited, peer-reviewed journals.

Experience in postgraduate supervision will be considered an advantage.

Strong administrative capabilities and the ability to manage workload effectively.

Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and inspiring teaching that stimulates student learning.

Duties:

Teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Supervise Honours, Master's, and Doctoral students.

Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement within the department.

Publish scholarly work in accredited academic journals.

Participate in community engagement initiatives.

Deliver instruction using E-learning platforms and digital resources.

For appointment at

Lecturer level:

A Master's degree in History of Education, Philosophy of Education, or Sociology of Education.

At least three years of teaching experience at tertiary level, or five years of professional experience in a related field.

Publications in peer-reviewed or non-peer-reviewed journals will be considered an advantage.

Duties:

Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Supervise Honours and Master's students.

Support the development and refinement of the curriculum.

Contribute to academic publishing in accredited journals.

Engage in community outreach and development.

Utilize online teaching tools and platforms for course delivery.

For appointment at

Junior Lecturer level

An Honours degree in History of Education, Philosophy of Education, or Sociology of Education.

Duties:

Deliver instruction to undergraduate students.
