Job Requirements

For appointment at Senior Lecturer level:

A PhD in English Language Teaching, English Language Studies, or Applied Language Studies (English). A minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or at least seven (7) years of relevant professional experience. At least five publications in accredited, peer-reviewed academic journals. Experience in postgraduate supervision is advantageous. Proven administrative competence and the ability to manage academic responsibilities efficiently. A demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, student-focused teaching.

Duties:

Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervise Honours, Master's, and Doctoral students. Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement within the department. Publish scholarly work in accredited academic journals. Participate in community engagement initiatives. Incorporate E-learning and digital platforms into teaching practices.

For appointment at Lecturer level:

A Master's degree in English Language Teaching, English Language Studies, or Applied Language Studies (English). At least three (3) years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or five (5) years of relevant professional experience. Publications in peer-reviewed or non-peer-reviewed journals will be considered an asset.

Duties:

Deliver teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervise Honours and Master's students. Support curriculum development and improvement efforts. Publish academic work in accredited journals. Engage in community outreach activities. * Utilize E-learning and digital platforms for instructional delivery.
